The Course Content
With the course “Wound Care Management Basic (WCMB), students acquire specific basic knowledge in optimal Wound Care Management from international and local top lecturers for chronic and acute wounds in an understandable and evident manner.
This Wound Care Management Basic course (WCMB) is organized in close cooperation between the The University of Sakarya, The Sigmund Freud University Vienna and IHM International.
The Wound Care Management Basic Course (WCMB) is a total of 6 days training and consist of 3 days theory and 3 days practical training, conducted by national and international top lecturers. Participants will receive an honorable certification after passing the final exam successfully.
In our WCMB courses we always take care to demonstrate and create a close relationship between theory and practical training.
This WCMB course is aimed at doctors, medical professionals, paramedics and health care workers who wish to start and/ or refresh their basic education in the field of wound care management on a blocked schedule basis
The practical units will be taught by very experienced doctors and therapists in close cooperation with the Sakarya University hospital.
The WCMB certificate course will be held in English and Turkish. The English lessons will be translated by an interpreter.
The WCMB is the basic requirement to participate in the WCMA (Wound Care Management Advanced course) and subsequently in the WCME (expert or postgraduate course)
Only those people who have completed and passed the theory section are entitled to participate in the practical training.
The practical training will be carried out to a small extent in the teaching venue in the form of practical demonstrations but for the most part in the form of real training on patients in the Sakarya Wound Clinic.
In this regard, all participants must of course comply with all prescribed corona safety measures, which will be communicated to everyone accordingly in advance. In case of critical changes in the corona situation, there may be possible short term postponements, but we will make every effort to implement courses as announced once they have been fixed.
Teaching material
After booking the course you will receive a link by e-mail with your personal and individual access code to the online teaching material for this course on our Moodle platform.
The course content and corresponding presentations are only unlocked at the specified times for the registered course participants.
The IHM E-Cademy is based on the Moodle e-learning platform, which is available worldwide. Teaching videos are located in our own IHM YouTube Channel, to which you will be directed too out of the IHM E-Cademy.
Examination
At the end of the WCMB course there will be a final written exam over the week´s course content including theory and practise which must be completed within the specified time limit.
Exam certificate
The participants will receive an honorable certification by the University of Sakarya and the Sigmung Freud University Vienna after successfully attending the course and passing the final exam which is valid in Türkiye and the European Union.
